Septum Magnet
A septum magnet is an electromagnet that uses a thin partition, the septum, to separate a region with magnetic field from a region without it. In a synchrotron, it is used during injection or extraction to redirect the path of a selected beam without disturbing an adjacent beamline. It is often used in combination with a bump magnet, and a thinner septum reduces the effect on the adjacent beam.
Below are the specifications of the synchrotron septum magnet.
