A horizontal corrector magnet is an electromagnet used to correct small horizontal orbit errors within a synchrotron beamline. It compensates for residual deviations that remain uncorrected by the primary magnets (bending and quadrupole magnets), operating at a relatively low field strength to make fine adjustments and keep the beam on its designed orbit.
