Octupole Magnet
An octupole magnet is an electromagnet with eight symmetrically arranged poles, used in accelerator beamlines to precisely correct beam shape through a higher-order nonlinear magnetic field component than that of a sextupole magnet. The multipole field within the bore corrects beam cross-section distortion and nonlinear aberrations.
